According to the Brandeis Center lawsuit, in history class students were asked to create a large drawing featuring "strong historical leaders." The students collaborated on "a large artistic rendering of a strong leader, featuring Adolf Hitler."

When parents complained about antisemitic harassment, Kenneth R. Nysmith allegedly told a bullied Jewish child to "toughen up" instead of addressing the discrimination.

According to the Brandeis Center, after parents complained about antisemitic bullying including children calling Jews "baby killers" and saying "they deserved to die because of Gaza," the school expelled three Jewish children including the 6th grade victim.
All three were high-achieving students with no disciplinary issues. Headmaster had previously praised the family in writing.
